Update - a closer look at Buanzo's site showed that he still hosts the FFmpeg 0.6.2 - but only for versions of Audacity up to 2.0.5. So I: 1) cleared out my pukka FFmpeg for Audacity folder from Program Files (x86) - just renamed it. 2) ran up Audacity 2.3.2 ...

... says there are orphaned files, that there is wrong architecture and that there are missing images. I've deleted the config file and updated the FFmpeg files. What am I missing? I have 3 tracks open in the project. Sanitized log attached. Any advice is welcome. AudacityLog_Sanitized.rtf

Strange how my computer runs every single program, including multiple audio related ones (inc. ffmpeg) without ANY ERRORS WHATSOEVER but, of course, this is NOT an audacity problem, oh no. Problem Resolved!!!!!! :D :D :D I was playing around with my preferences and noticed that in the import/export tab the ffmpeg prompt was at the bottom of the order list. So, on a whim, I moved it to the 2nd space for order of how to import files. Tried it out on the mp4 from before, ...

Did a full shutdown within the last 5 days, let it lay for a full night then started up like normal. It takes maybe 5 minutes to start, and the machine diagnostics say it’s fine. Only problem is with this one feature of audacity.
