... RAW, but it gives me the same message. Is anyone able to help me on this, or is this just a bug? Using Audacity 2.3.2 on Windows 10 build 18362, FFmpeg: F(55.33.100), C(55.52.102), U(52.66.100)

An mp3 decoder artefact ?

... peak levels beyond 0 dB (~ +2.5 dB). Just a single frame of 1152 samples seems to be affected. For comparison I have decoded the mp3 also with ffmpeg 4.0.2 to wav. That version shows just a clean 'well behaved' (low level) transient at the same file position. When I use ffmpeg's -c:a mp3float ...

... your hard drive, or you still trying to record it? If you record it, you can save it (export it) in the format of your choice. Again You'll need FFmpeg if you want to make export to MP4.

Are there any add-ons I can add to force Audacity to see this downloaded file?..
You have to install ffmpeg libraries into Audacity to rip the audio from mp4 video.

Now regarding that FFmpeg that you mentioned, I do remember that I installed that feature or upgrade for Audacity before when I was working under Windows 7. I think (don't ...

Re: https://lame.buanzo.org/#lamewindl is a dead link

It's not a dead link, I've just tested it.
The link goes to a web page - it's not a direct download link. See the instructions here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/ins ... html#winff
The file that you need is "ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe"
