... configuration folder which is in: Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\ where <username> is your log-in name. If you installed LAME and / or FFmpeg, they can also be deleted from the Programs folder.

Raw data import - wav file > 4 Go

... in all cases I obtained a saturated waveform. What can I do in order to open and edit this file? (Please note that I have not installed the FFmpeg Import/Export Library yet, thinking it useless.) The audio file is fine (DVBViewer can play it completely.) Thank you for your help. Regards.

I had this problem after my initial install of the 64-bit version, including FFmpeg, on Catalina. The files sounded fine using other software. I “reset my preferences” (aka deleted the cfg file) and everything sounded normal again. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_and_updating_audacity_on_mac_os_x.html
