In Debian / Ubuntu / Mint ... If you use the standard repository version of Audacity, FFmpeg (and LAME) is usually installed by default and Audacity's "Libraries" menu is hidden. If you are unable to import / export formats supported by FFmpeg / Lame, then ...

The preferred way, on Linux Mint, to install ffmpeg is to use Driver Manager to install the codecs packages. You should be good to go after doing that.

The entire log exists in the same millisecond, no matter what process was being done.
I removed FFmpeg and everything seems to work fine so far. I did find some other forums that discussed this error and how to fix, but since it seems I don't use it, I just work without it.

FFmpeg is an optional component. It enables Audacity to import / export additional audio file formats.
