Re: Can a user link Audacity with a video application?
... that I have... There are some free video editors but I have not tried them. ** For most audio/video formats, you'll need to install FFmpeg (if you haven't done so already). When you open an A/V file in Audacity, you get the audio-only.)

No 64-Bit FFmpeg 2.2.2 Shared for Audacity 64-Bit
I got Audaciity 64-bit, but the only link offered to download FFmpeg 2.2.2 is 32-bit.
I searched Google and can't find FFmpeg 2.2.2 64-bit Shared.

Re: problem with audacity cross-platform sound editor
Everything looks OK, and it IS an MP3 file. (That FFmpeg message usually means that it's named .MP3 but it's actually some other format.) Have you tried any other MP3 files? Can you open a WAV file? Can you play the file in Windows Media Player (or ...

Re: "Unable to Export" to MP3
You must have fixed or changed a different problem. As far as I know, Audacity 2.4.1 has MP3 generation built-in, no further work needed, and FFMpeg has never been an MP3 generator. Other may post.

Re: "Unable to Export" to MP3
... on a solution. In case anybody else happens to have this problem, I did the following: I noticed in my library that Lame was already installed but FFmpeg was not. In file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/audacity/help/manual/man/installing_and_updating_audacity_on_windows.html#winff I discovered that ...

You may be glad to know that we have fixed this for the upcoming 2.4.2 - I just did the QA testing of the fix made by Leland Lucius.

Re: problem with audacity cross-platform sound editor
Audacity 2.4.1 does not require FFmpeg to import MP3 files. Perhaps there's something wrong with those files.
Try uploading one of them to this page for analysis: https://mediaarea.net/MediaInfoOnline
What does that webpage say about the file?

I downloaded it, saved it in my programmes folder and in Audacity located the library under preferences. Could you please help? What else ...
