Re: Audacity crashes when importing a video file
Gasp. I need to lie down for a minute.....
Of course, that's assuming the original QuickTime was made with a codec that ffmpeg understands.....
Can you put the track back the same way?

Re: Audacity crashes when importing a video file
You may be able to Import it into Audacity 1.3.8 if you have ffmpeg installed. I've just tried importing a Quicktime .MOV file into Audacity 1.3.8 on Linux and it imported (audio only) correctly.

Re: FFmpeg library not found
Audacity 1.3.8 has only just come out, so we are just starting to find out if there are any issues with it. I've not got time to look just now, but there are some other posts about ffmpeg that have been posted in the last couple of days that may be worth looking at.

Re: FFmpeg library not found
I did download from this page:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... tallffmpeg
This is the installer I executed:
FFmpeg_2009_07_12_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe
And the dll from this file, Audacity 1.3.8 does not recognize.

Re: FFmpeg library not found
Audacity 1.3.8 requires a more recent version of ffmpeg than 1.3.7 used. You can get the required version from here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... tallffmpeg
