Yes, that looks OK.
Try opening a WAV or MP3 file, and see if you can export it as M4A/AAC.
If that works FFmpeg is at least partially working and, maybe there's something wrong with your AAC files. Try checking one of the files with MediaInfoOnline.

You will need to use an encoder that supports 10 channels. Audacity's "FFmpeg libvo_aacenc" only supports up to 8 channels.
