Steve if you are reading, do you use latest git FFmpeg with SVN HEAD on Ubuntu 10.10? So far I've only used FFmpeg with Audacity 1.3.12 (both from the Ubuntu 10.10 repository). I've not investigated Audacity 1.3.13 with FFmpeg. Would you like me ...

... thats missing. But Audacity does not have any way of adding custom definitions for imported files. I think that you would need to customise FFMpeg to be able to do that, but I don't know how you would do that and really that is outside of the scope of the support that we can offer on this ...

According to the Olympus website, the VN-6200 PC records in WMA format.
Audacity 1.3 will recognise WMA if the FFMpeg library is installed. The instructions to download and install FFMpeg are here:
