Re: confused about stereo/mono imports

Re: Audacity can't find ffmpeg and lame files
I think it's fascinating that the FFMpeg and Lame installed with different owners and different groups -- and again different from the owner of Audacity. And on my Leopard machine, all this went without a hitch. Badda-Boom, Badda-Bing. Export ...

Re: Audacity can't find ffmpeg and lame files
Do you two that have the pages and pages of problems have two or more users on your machine? It's possible if you have an actual "administrator" user on your machine in addition to you, this install won't work. I'm trying this out on the Snow Leopard machines at work. Yes I do have multip...

VOB/Ac->ogg..loss of Loudness/volume
Hiya, I do some on and off extractions from (VOBs) or convertions from ac3 to ogg audio by using the ffmpeg plugins in audacity. Unfortunately when I am listening to the finished ogg files on my cowon D2 player I always need to turn up the volume from 5 to 20 which is pain ...

Solution: Open up FINDER. Select GO on the top menu bar, then GO TO FOLDER. Type in /usr/ and hit RETURN. You ...

Re: Transfering from Cassette to MAC OS X
... You can put both versions on your Mac safely, use only one at a time. If you use some of the other software packages like Lame and FFMpeg, you need to get them from the same web page. If you have no idea what that is, it doesn't matter. Launch the new Audacity and Audacity > Preferences ...
