Re: I open a voice record file on audacity

Probably Audacity 1.2 does not support the format the file is in. Download Audacity 1.3 Beta, then the optional FFmpeg library, as explained in this FAQ . After instaling FFmpeg, Import the file by clicking File > Import > Audio then choose "FFmpeg-compatible files" in ...

Re: Can't compile Audacity from SVN on Fedora 14

There have recently been several changes to FFMpeg support. Ensure that you have a fresh SVN source and you may also want to apply the most recent patch from here: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=176

Re: Can't compile Audacity from SVN on Fedora 14

I'm assuming you already read the compile instructions for linux here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Developing_On_Linux I believe you need ffmpeg 0.5 and not 0.6. And you'll need the development ffmpeg files and not only the binary. You can also compile it without ffmpeg support (you won't ...

Re: Exported MP3 stops playing after 16 min

Re: Audacity can't find ffmpeg and lame files

I assume you got "required to proceed" when you tried to export to an FFmpeg format. That is expected because unlike LAME, FFmpeg is not detected automatically in 1.3.12 without loading it in the Import / Export Preferences. If you click "Locate" ...
