Re: Audacity can't find ffmpeg and lame files
Omg i downloaded your installer, tried to do everything, edited by hand your .cfg, and still i get "not found" without any error or clue about what is wrong. Moved everything everywhere, changed permissions... it just does not work. You should really edit the wiki at least, it would save o...

FFmpeg Library Not Found
Hi All - I am having persistent trouble getting Audacity to load the FFmpeg Library. I've looked through the existing threads and tried the following suggested solutions, albeit with no success. - installing FFmpeg from the in-GUI link on the Preferences/Libraries ...

Re: Opening a *.WAV file
... that might be it... I'm guessing what happens here is that audacity tries to import the file as WAV (in both cases). When it fails to do so, if ffmpeg is installed then it tries to import it using ffmpeg (and it succeeds), if ffmpeg is not installed audacity doesn't know what to do with the ...

... drag 'n' drop, File > Open & File > Import > Audio ). I am guessing that my local build of SVN HEAD (1.3.14alpha) is opening the file with FFmpeg. I have seen some talk that FFmpeg ignores the file's extension if it can determine the data type from its content. @Nisko -- do you have FFmpeg ...

... If you need to post a longer section use MP3 with a quality setting of 256 kbps. In order to export a section in FLAC you'll need to install the FFmpeg extension, and in order to export as MP3 you'll need to install the LAME extension. Re: Audacity Upgrade
I don't think that Lame or FFmpeg have been updated between 1.3.12 and 1.3.13, so there should be no need to make any changes to either of these libraries. Simply installing Audacity 1.3.13 should be all that is needed for a full upgrade from 1.3.12 to 1.3.13.

Re: Left stereo track "forgets" edits
I was actually wrong about the original file. It came from an Olympus recorder in stereo WMA, which I coverted to MP3 in Super. I didn't have FFMPEG installed when I started the project. About halfway through, I wanted to try exporting directly to MP3, so I installed LAME for Audacity and FFMPEG ...
