rev r11210 compiled fine on my Xubuntu 10.04.2 32bit system. Today's rev r11212 stops the "make"-process ... I updated ffmpeg yesterday from 4:0.7 to 4:0.8 from here "https://launchpad.net/~jon-severinsson/+archive/ffmpeg", so this could be responsable too for the error ...

... not the best tool for that, though it will probably work for DVDs that are not encrypted. You would need to use Audacity 1.3.13 and also install FFMpeg, then Import the VOB files from the DVD (usually best to copy the VOB files to your hard drive first).
