i wanted to know if if or how i can get ahold of the newest version of ffmpeg for audacity the latest version is 0.8.2 but i can only find 0.6.2 i dont even know if it is the latest version of 0.6.2 could somebody compile the latest version 0.8.2 to work with ...

... SUPER which says that both are 16bit pcm, 80kbps 44100hz .ogg files, but it won't play or handle the files either. Soundforge can't read them, ffmpeg can't read them. I don't know of any other software to try. I appreciate any assistance, thanks a bunch!

... time. Audacity 1.2 will not open projects made on Audacity 1.3. If you use MP3 or some of the more modern audio compression formats, get Lame and FFMpeg software from the same web site. Do not use older software or software from other web sites, even though they may have the same names.
