Re: TROUBLE DOWNLOADING LAME .exe FILE
If you have issues, download the zip, not the .exe installer. This applies to the FFmpeg installer and the Audacity program downloads too. Apart from the issue that if you are on a school or business network you may not have permission to install programs, several ...

I downloaded the ffmpeg also, but just like lame encoder I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it. Ok I set the markers, but the options under file and edit are mostly blanked out. I downloaded the ffmpeg also, but just like lame encoder I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it. It's a program that during installation said it would be saved in program files for audacity. ...

... other tricks. It's not a bad compressor, either. If you assume an iTunes music file without FairPlay protection, you can download and install the FFMpeg software package. http://audacityteam.org/download/ Then you can open up the M4A file directly -- although I would probably go through the desktop ...

Re: Can't export, need "properly configured FFmpeg"
I drag AIF files into iTunes all the time, with my "Import Settings" set to MP3. iTunes brings in the AIFs unconverted. There's a preference under the "Advanced" tab: "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library". I have it unchecked. So when I drag and dro...

Not on Windows. If you drag in a WMA file, iTunes offers to convert it to MP3, otherwise it imports pre-ex...
