... Make sure the Canopus "locked sound" feature is defeated since you won't have a video channel to lock to. Also you might need to add the FFMpeg software to Audacity to open the file. The file is almost certainly an unsupported file type.
If you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.14: http://audacityteam.org/download/
and install FFmpeg: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... tallffmpeg
you will probably be able to import the file correctly.

Install FFmpeg according to these instructions: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Installation_and_Plug-Ins#ffdown then hopefully Audacity will import the file. Make sure you use Audacity 1.3.14 (check at Help > About Audacity). ...
