... have the audio that should be in this one. Help > Show Log should not be empty unless you cleared it. It should have debug messages about the FFmpeg and LAME libraries. Feel free to attach the .aup file ("Upload attachment" underneath where you post messages). Gale

The "failure to find libraries" messages are about LAME and FFmpeg which are not needed for recording.

and also installed the plugins file . Which plugins file might that be? Do you mean the "lame" and "FFMpeg" software? If you install Audacity clean from first birthday and don't help it, it will arrive with a slate of built-in effects all by itself. Do Not Reinstall ...

I doubt you could do anything useful with that combination. Audacity 1.2.6 will not even open on some newer computers. Download and install Version2 along with the associated lame and FFMpeg.
