Re: Silence required at beginning and end of track

Can this be done via a chain command? I have looked into both 2.0 and audacity-1.3.14-unicode-alpha_ffmpeg_uncompressed_export_chains but apparently there's no command for this.

Re: Help - Audio Conversion

Dear Mr Steve, I'm grateful for your prompt reply. While posting my query, I forgot to mention that I had already installed the FFmpeg and am familiar with the "chains" feature courtesy my trials of the "Cleanspeech" edition of Audacity.I understand that the "Chains" ...

Re: Unable to open lame or FFMpeg

I installed the lame software within its folder under "plug-ins" and I was this close to installing the FFMpeg folder when one of the production departments had problems and I had to leave. FFMpeg is a problem because it's not a single dylib. How do I deal with that? The ...

Re: Unable to open lame or FFMpeg

Otherwise, you will need the zips for LAME and/or FFmpeg from http://lame1.buanzo.com.ar/ and unpack the dylib files where you wish. Just for form. It says in the zip instructions that I am to follow the install instructions. What instructions? I ...

Re: How do I import from my itunes library?

... LAME MP3 Encoder , you can load the AAC file into Audacity and save-as MP3. If you can't open the iTunes AAC file, you may need to install the FFMPEG Import/Export Library. (If you have iTunes installed on your computer, I think Audacity can use it's AAC decoder to open the file.) If your files ...

Re: Load .wav file & flat line in Waveform display

Thanks, Ed. There is nothing in the log of concern - it only shows that you have not installed the optional LAME and FFmpeg libraries. I suppose a good test would have been to see if those CDex WAV files were audible in Windows Media Player. If it happens again, and the files are ...

Re: Unable to open lame or FFMpeg

... install of Audacity to custom export the sound track from a short video show. Audacity installed OK and seems to run, but can't find either the FFMpeg or Lame libraries, even though they're in the correct folders/directories. I'm running Audacity as LowlyUser, but I installed everything as administrator ...
