This is the layout. For some reason, the simple lame module loaded immediately and without fuss. Not so the FFMpeg. Simply nothing happens. I Point to: /Applications/Audacity/FFmpeg_v0.6.2_for_Audacity_on_OSX/libavcodec.52.dylib Which is what the instructions say ( see pix). ...

... the files are really AAC or M4A (or something like that) compressed files, you should be able to open them with Audacity after you install the FFMpeg software extension/plugin. http://audacityteam.org/download/ Koz

@alterbentzion: have you tried installing FFmpeg then use File > Import > Audio in Audacity and choose "FFmpeg-compatible files". This will use a different importer to import the files.
