Are you doing it with Stereo-Mix or one of the other self-recording techniques, or are you using a jumper cable between Line-In and Line-Out? Can you download the movie? If you install FFMpeg into Audacity, it will open many movie formats.

Audacity does not do video.
Audacity can extract the audio part from some video files if you have FFmpeg installed, but cannot edit, process or export video files.

You don't as far as I know have to disable dynamic loading to link Audacity properly to FFmpeg. What are the default configure flags for ffmpeg on your build that works? --disable-ffplay --disable-ffprobe --disable-ffserver --disable-avdevice --disable-debug --disable-decoder=amrnb ...

I think Ardour have only recently removed that download. We are trying to make the installer available on the site we recommend for LAME and FFmpeg downloads. We'll post here when that it is done.
