Re: Recordi Audio From VOB File

Edit > Preferences > Libraries If Audacity volunteers to find FFMpeg for you, you didn't install it or Audacity simply couldn't find it. I think you miss an important piece of this. The audio doesn't have to be embedded in the Video Object (VOB) file. You ...

Re: Unable to Play ADTS Formatted Audio Files

As far as I'm aware Audacity does not support ADTS.
By itself, Audacity only supports a limited number of formats: WAV, Ogg, AIFF, FLAC, MP3 (import only) and a few less used formats, but Audacity can use FFMpeg to greatly extend the range of formats that can be imported and exported.

Re: Unable to Play ADTS Formatted Audio Files

You may be able to import ADTS files if you install FFMpeg http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown (I've not tested because I don't have any ADTS files) You will probably also need to set the "File types" ...

Re: Compile fails at ffmpeg

Audacity should support building against FFmpeg 0.5 through 0.8. It may not currently be possible to build Audacity against later versions of FFmpeg.

Compile fails at ffmpeg

Slackware ver 14.0 Kernel version Linux version 3.2.29-smp I'm wondering what version of ffmpeg this iteration of Audacity is built with. I installed the latest ffmpeg version from their git repository a couple of days ago. It is version: ffmpeg version N-45599-g9de5b11 ...

Re: Setting Audacity panning defaults for multi-channel soun

... I could see that people importing multi-channel files might want to mute the subwoofer channel, or force channel type of the first two channels (FFmpeg-imported multi-channel files always import with all channels mono), or force the names of the tracks to something pre-ordained that describes ...

Re: FFmpeg not found, was not included in the LAME download.

Nevermind I found it.

"Look for "For FFMpeg/LAME on Windows", then a few lines under that, left-click the link FFmpeg_v0.6.2_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe and save the file anywhere on your computer."

Re: FFmpeg not found, was not included in the LAME download.
