Audacity 2.0.4 doesn't launch on XP
... been updated to 2.0.4. The PC is running XP SP1 and has run Audacity 1.2.6 for years, then has been updated to v2.0.3 using the ZIP package with FFmpeg v0.6.2 for Audacity added. Everything was running fine until I've updated to v2.0.4 still using the ZIP package. Language of the UI is English. ...

Re: Cannot open or import a .wav file
p.s. Is there a way to condense the file if it's too large? I've read through FAQ and found info on FFmpeg, which I downloaded, but I cannot figure out how to use it.
Sorry to be a bother. Thank you.

Re: Failed to import mp4 through FFMPEG
A good question - I don't have any assurances. Both Debian based Linux. I'm assuming that there is a con...

Re: Failed to import mp4 through FFMPEG
Where did the m4a come from and what assurances do you have that it is a valid m4a?

Failed to import mp4 through FFMPEG
I've done a clean install of a PC and cannot get Audacity (v2.0.3) to import m4a files, despite having FFMPEG installed. The log says 21:22:04: File name is /home/peter/test-file.m4a 21:22:04: Mime type is * 21:22:04: Opening with libav 21:22:04: Error: FFmpeg : av_find_stream_info() ...

Hi,
When I go to File-Import your FLAC Audacity says it can not find FFMPEG, however your FLAC will open with File-Open.
My other FLACS will open with File-Import, just having the problem with the one you sent me...

Re: audacity 2.0.3 & flac 1.3.0
... the exact version of the executable they wanted would have many benefits. That fact we don't have that feature is the exact reason why Audacity's FFmpeg support using an interface (dynamically loading libraries from Preferences) is stuck at 0.8 for Linux and 0.6.2 for Windows and Mac - the code ...
