Re: ? Showing for Audacity
Are you trying to run Audacity from the .dmg file? Go > Applications > Audacity Does your listing look like the illustration? You may be missing FFMpeg and Lame, those are two add-ons, and your files may not say ".app." I told the Finder to show me everything. If so, drag your dock icon ...

Audacity module loading dialog in 2.0.4[SOLVED]
Hi,
Audacity 2.0.4 will not load correctly. I get module error with each DLL of the FFmpeg 0.6.2 file. No probs with 2.0.3 at all. Using Win 7 x64 and both versions of Audacity are the installer ones.
Any ideas?
Screenshots of error dialogues and log attached.
Regards
DrT

Re: Failed to import mp4 through FFMPEG
Thanks of that - you've hit the problem. m4a on this install only supports encoding (interestingly aac is only supported for decoding). Now I know where my problem is.
Thanks for the support

Re: Failed to import mp4 through FFMPEG
It looks as if the build of FFmpeg on your SolydK machine does not support m4a. Some distributions do not include support for restricted formats by default. You may need to enable an additional repository to get software that supports restricted ...

... the ones on "CSI" and "New Tricks." Script writers tend to be really good at this. To specifically answer you, yes, with the FFMpeg software installed, you can skip one compression step and its attendant damage by importing the video directly. But don't call the newspapers ...
