Re: FFmpeg library error
ffmpeg version 0.7.13
I believe this the problem. I built ffmpeg version 0.10.8 with this Makefile. I also had to downgrade from x264-0.136.2358 to x264-0.125.2201 as a dep.
Then Audacity worked when linked to FFmpeg Library Version: F(53.32.100),C(53.61.100),U(51.35.100) in /usr/local/lib.

... folder. You should Save or Export your work to My Music or other working folder, not a program folder. An Audacity upgrade should not change the FFMpeg or Lame software, so your work should still be there. Search the machine for one of the music filenames and see if it hits. Koz

... metadata Audacity 2.0.4 and later support for the WAV format. If you are concerned about having to select inputs before you can use them, LAME and FFmpeg are not related to that. I only export from Audacity to Windows Media Player in either the MP3 or WAV formats. I am not sure if I have used FFmpeg_v0.6.2 ...

Re: Importion Audio from LiveScribe wifi pen to Audactiy
If you can create any common sound format, we can import those with the addition of the FFMpeg software. Doesn't have to be WAV, although that's the format likely to create the least problems. This should be the one for Macs: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown

Re: EDIT/PREFERENCES/RECORDING/OK PER PROJECT
Hello Gale, First: "Transport > Rescan Audio Devices" had no noticable effect Second: I believe that I will wait until Audacity 2.0.5 comes out to solve this problem. The Audacity 2,0.4 that I have records without any obvious problems. It will be interesting to see if it will support WAV f...

Re: Issues recording from mixer to laptop using mic port
Thank you for the complete information. The FFMpeg libraries have to do with advanced sound formats, techniques and files. That may be broken, but that's not your problem. I suspect your friend changed the Audacity recording settings in order to ...

Re: HELP !!! Normalising audio from video files
Audacity is not a video editor - it only works with audio. Importing a video file (via ffmpeg) will import only the audio portion of that file. Audacity can adjust the volume of the audio once it has been imported, but it is only the audio. In order to put that audio ...
