Re: Importing audio from video using FFmpeg
I've installed 2.2.2 FFmpeg and Audacity auto locates it - so far so good. I then launch the latest nightly alpha 2.0.7 and try dragging the YT listing for a video onto the Audacity - all I see is a little red circle with a red diagonal ...

Re: Can't Get ffmpeg and Lame recognised by Audacity
If you downloaded FFmpeg 2.2.2 from the link on http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown , that version of FFmpeg requires Audacity 2.0.6. If that's the problem, then the best solution is to upgrade ...

... I find I can install that ability so I do it. I now have Lame in the programfileslame for audacity folder and the .dll it uses right there. I have ffmpeg for audacity in the correct folder for it, with the required .dll Audacity sees them there when I go to edit/preferences/libraries - or shows ...

Re: Metatags no longer showing
It's a long-standing FFmpeg bug, though it is possible it varies with FFmpeg version. See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Release_Notes_2.0.6#ffmpeg . The only real workaround is to export as WAV and convert to AAC in iTunes . If ...
