Re: Help- Trouble loading FFmpeg library

When the tracks are playing, the stereo tracks will go out of sync, then it sounds like it tries to readjust it but it just keeps going out of sync from the click that's playing and starts playing with partial skips in it. It'll start like that or with a small bit of audio missing and then it throw...

Re: Help- Trouble loading FFmpeg library

... have? This will not solve the problem: "It would play, then cut out and get all mixed up." but there are instructions for installing FFmpeg in the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown Note that the version of FFmpeg needed for Audacity ...

Re: Help- Trouble loading FFmpeg library

Yeah, I went ahead with an AVG scan not too long ago. I have the free version and it didn't find anything.

I don't remember installing any FFmpeg. Where could I get a compatible verision or update the one I (apparently) have?

Thanks.

FFmpeg is an optional extra that provides support for importing/exporting a wide range of audio formats (in addition to those that are supported as standard). FFmpeg is not required for Audacity to run, and FFmpeg is not included ...

... not detected. Using a hex editor I verified that the LIST/INFO chunk is present. After all that, I followed your instructions to make Audacity use FFmpeg for importing. Now I find that both IPRD and ITRK are seen but not IART nor ICRD. That seems totally crazy to me. Of course Audacity now sees ...

Re: Audacity for EPEL 7 x86_64?

Perhaps you could try the Audacity-freeworld package?
There is one limitation with that version, which is that it probably won't support LAME and FFmpeg, which is not a problem if you stick with free/open audio formats.

Re: Any way to choose a bitrate for M4A files?

So is the option to set the "quality" for M4A files non-functional Yes. It's a limitation (bug) in the FFmpeg build, as described in the Audacity 2.0.6 release notes That one actually is a bug in Audacity and not in libvo-aac. If you use (external program) to export then ...
