Re: need to import metadata from .wav files
... metadata would have been cleared. So the second time I imported the file, the previous metadata was still present. Then I found out that when the FFmpeg filter is used, it overwrites the previous metadata and blanks out the items it doesn't understand. On the other hand, the WAV, AIFF, etc. filter ...

... set exactly as you suggested for *.wav, except that the filter "WAVE, AIFF, and other uncompressed types" is at the top, before "FFmpeg-compatible files." Now all of the tags I use are imported correctly. Does that make sense to you? That makes no sense to me unless you compiled ...

Re: recording creative soundblaster and input level
... and I just want the audio it becomes a little tedious with vlc. If you want the whole audio it is still better to download the video file. Install FFmpeg then drag the downloaded video file into Audacity - Audacity will then import the audio for you. I've tried using WASAPI and loopback but audacity ...

... before as I've streamed sound clips onto recordings from videos. But as of now it seems to be working. I don't have anything having to do with an FFMpeg library on my computer. I also don't recall ever downloading it. It's not in my plugin folder either. Thanks a lot, steve.

... 1.0.25 is interfacing with programs. Please let me know if you do that test with 1.0.24. I followed your instructions to make Audacity use FFmpeg for importing. Now I find that both IPRD and ITRK are seen but not IART nor ICRD. That seems totally crazy to me. Of course Audacity now sees ...

Re: Help- Trouble loading FFmpeg library
What are the track sample rates? (look in the info box on the left end of each track). Update- I tried exporting the song and it seemed to export fine. There were some locating issues with the LAME files shown below. What format did you export as? Do you have LAME installed? Do you ever export from ...

Re: Help- Trouble loading FFmpeg library
I'm running the latest version of Audacity. Using windows 7. I'm using a Multimix 8usb to record as an interface. Right now, there are only three tracks playing and it'll mess up. My project rate is at 44100hz. My audio to buffer is at 100 milliseconds. that's all I can really think of. Update- I tr...
