Re: Sound disappears from computer after opening Audacity
... sound disappear. OK so I think you are using a proprietary Samsung SEC video format and video player. There is a small chance that if you install FFmpeg from http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown then drag the SEC file into Audacity, the audio from the ...

Re: Help with editing video sound
... I don't know how to open my video files (recorded using Bandicam, .avi format) in Audacity. If you have not done so already, install the optional FFmpeg Import/Export Library . That will allow you to open most audio/video formats and "extract" the audio. You'll still need a video editor ...

... cannot currently open this type of file. You need to extract the audio to a supported format." Audacity does not edit video. You can install FFmpeg then let Audacity extract the audio from the video to its internal lossless audio format. Or you can create a separate WAV file in Bandicam as ...

Re: Super Audio CD files *.dsf
Thanks Gale, but I canot import *.dsf files even having instaled the library you indicated. Sorry. DSF is indicated as supported by FFmpeg here https://www.ffmpeg.org/general.html but looking at the FFmpeg Changelog , DSD decoding did not come in until version 2.3. I obtained http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win32/shared/ffmpeg-20140729-git--win32-shared.7z ...

Re: Super Audio CD files *.dsf
I don't understand if you mean that you cannot yet import DSF files. If you mean that, try installing FFmpeg which is supposed to support DSD, then import the file into Audacity. Or convert the files to WAV (not a lossless process) using dBPowerAmp ( http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ ...

I am not sure that the variance is so great; with the exception of the Custom FFmpeg dialog the minimum is zero options and the maximum is four options.
