Re: audacity-2.1.0 and ffmpeg
Thank you for the answer. I am using slackware64-current. I compiled audacity from the source code. Before that I uninstalled ffmpeg-2.6.1 and installed ffmpeg-2.2.14. After compiling audacity, I uninstalled ffmpeg-2.2.14, and re-installed ffmpeg-2.6.1, but I kept the libraries of version ...

Where did FFmpeg come from? Did you compile Audacity against that FFmpeg?

Hello
When trying to locate the ffmpeg library, I give libavformat.so.55.33.100 (from ffmpeg-2.2.14) and audacity crashes (segmentation error).

Re: Just one file has no sound on just one computer?
went thru all the settings on Audacity on the computer that does the recording, and discovered that both the LAME Library and the FFmpeg Library are not on the computer. You need LAME for writing an MP3 but you don't necessarily need FFmpeg http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Opening_and_Saving_Files#foreign ...

Re: Batch Processing iTunes Songs
... a Chain (batch process) because Chains can't make production decisions—someone will correct me. You can't export to M4A or any formats requiring FFmpeg using Chains - it's a serious feature lack. You can include M4A and WAV files to process, but they will all be exported as WAV or to whatever ...

Require help in generating sine waves for HE-AAC Format
Hi,
We are struck up with generating sine waves for HE-AAC format.
We have tried using tools like Audacity, Gold Wave, Lame Encoder, FFMpeg, Fraunhoffer etc and several forums available over web. Could not still get a break through.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chandra Mouli

Re: How do I get libavformat dylib?
So, Audacity needs FFMPEG to work. I went and downloaded the FFMPEG build for Snow Leopard and up. Opened up the extracted folder and no libavformat dylib. I'm running Audacity 2.0.6. If you download an "ffmpeg" binary from ...
