Re: Exporting 32 bit float files: dither or not?
... Audacity default is 32-bit float storage, and assuming any imported files are imported at 32-bit resolution per that default. When importing using FFmpeg some formats are only imported at 16-bit. Gale So this doesn't apply to exporting 32 bit to either 32 bit or 24 bit?

I'm recording audio from a music video I downloaded from YouTube using the "FFmpeg Import/Export Library". It's an old song by Bob Dylan that was originally recorded in mono but YouTube has it as two identical stereo channels. Perhaps this is the issue ...

Re: FFmpeg library not found
I've already done all that. Re-installed both via the exe install and the zip extract. Running audacity as administrator (right click and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR) gives the same error. Also all the inherited groups access to the folder have full control, I even added the everyone group with full contro...

Re: Unable to import mp4
I went through everyone's suggestions, and when Steve asked if I'd downloaded the correct version of FFmpeg (I had), I decided to re-download and re-install it just to make sure. That seems to have fixed the issue. I've successfully imported MP4 audio in single tracks from ...
