Aac files crashing after being exported

Hai, i'm new here, so pardon if anything I say makes no sense whatsoever So I imported (and later exported) a file that was AAC (using FFMPEG, I think) in Audacity. However, when I play it in a sound player such as windows media player, it freezes the program, but the song still plays normally. ...

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 vs 2.0.5 (FFMpeg speed)

You can use the standard WAV exporter to export multi-channel WAV.

Are you editing these files while they are in Audacity? Re-encoding a lossy format like AC3 always degrades the file, even if you increase the bit rate.

Audacity 2.1.2 vs 2.0.5 (FFMpeg speed)

Audacity 2.0.5 + FFMpeg 0.6.2 (avformat-52.dll) is four times more fast, opening AC3 and Multiple Export (WAV) that Audacity 2.1.2 + FFMpeg 2.2.2 (avformat-55.dll) . Maybe due avformat-55.dll is much bigger that avformat-52.dll. I ...

... are using (all three numbers, see the pink panel at the top of the page). If you are using Audacity 2.1.0 there is a bug that you have to install FFmpeg to import MP4 files - see http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=84958 . However if you upgrade to the current Audacity 2.1.2 ...

Re: Audacity records my gameplay

... Have you tried using Game Bar in the Xbox app to record game videos with audio? You could extract the audio from the MP4 video file by installing FFmpeg then dragging the video file into Audacity. ... and cuts without changing the compression damage. But not fades. Fades require re-compression. So that's your Google search term. If you are using FFmpeg for Audacity 2.1.2, that's the latest and greatest version. We don't write FFmpeg, so we need to wait for another elf to see what could be wrong.
