I installed ffmpeg. Did not help with Chordino. I also installed the avformat-55.dll file. That didn't help either.

I neglected to include the log, so it's attached here. I'll try deleting the cfg file again.

Double-click that file to run it and install FFmpeg. The full file name should be ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe, but the EXE extension may be hidden on your computer.

When you're done there should be a bunch of DLL files in the FFmpeg folder, such as avcodec-55.dll, etc.

I have already put the directory "ffmpeg-win-2.2.2" in the directory audacity but that does not change anything.

Download and run Lame v3.99.3 for Windows.exe. That will install the Audacity version of LAME.

While you're at it, you may want to install FFmpeg in case you need to import/export other formats that Audacity doesn't natively handle.

You may need to install a new version of FFmpeg.
