Assuming the voicemails save as M4A, you will need to add FFmpeg to your computer on Windows to import the M4A into Audacity. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/inst ... html#winff .

... to workaround the problem by converting the MP4 to WAV with another program and then import the WAV into Audacity, but my guess is that any FFmpeg based converter will have the same problem.

Yes WMA V2 can be exported. Most WMA types can be imported except WMA Lossless 24-bit.

... NOT used for importing. it's only for exporting (creating) MP3s. If you want to import (open) a WMA file, you might need to install the optional FFmpeg Import/Export library . FFmpeg allows you to import/export many different formats, but I'm not sure about WMA.

If you haven't done so already, download and install the optional FFmpeg. I haven't tried FLV but FFmpeg allows you to open the audio from most audio/video formats and export most audio formats.
