Audacity 2.3.1 crashing on MP3 export on Lion

... mixing options" (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/advanced_mixing_options.html) For AC3 encoding, you will need to have FFmpeg installed (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown) That's the basic idea anyway. Re: Frustratingly cannot locate FFmpeg.

If you are running Audacity 2.3.1 you need the 64-bit versions of the FFmpeg libraries. We recommend using the PKG installer, which puts the libraries in the right place for you. On startup Audacity should then automatically locate and load the FFmpeg libraries.

Re: Frustratingly cannot locate FFmpeg.

Re: Unclear

On Windows, Audacity 2.3.1 uses the same versions of LAME and FFmpeg as Audacity 2.3.0. If LAME and FFmpeg work with Audacity 2.3.0, then no need to update them.
(This is NOT the case for Mac users).

Unclear

:?: In the shift from version 2.3.0 to 2.3.1 it is unclear to me if one needs to update the FFmpeg, LAME, or other plug-in files. Can someone authoritatively inform me if such an update is needed and where I can locate the new download files? Thanks.
