Correct me, but all these tests are running through FFMpeg, right? Plain Audacity has no idea what an AAC file is.

I know everyone is placing the blame on iTunes Maybe not universally. Audacity (as far as I know) won't make an M4A file. It needs the FFMpeg helper software. I believe there is a new FFMpeg for use with the new 64-bit version of Audacity 2.3.1. I think we mentioned already 789:57:13 number ...

I didn't find a way to open the MP4 Skype file directly into Audacity. You could try to install the FFMpeg add-on software. FFMpeg expands the number of file types that Audacity will open and make. Scroll down to Optional Downloads. https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ ...
