Re: Frequency Change Question
Ok thanks, when i try to change the from and to boxes it won't let me, I have to copy and paste the numbers I want. Also, so for what I want with the song being at 432hz, does the project rate being 44100hz make it not a true 432hz?

Re: Pitch Change
... would like to suggest it as an update in the program. There is quite a large movement online and offline that are recaliberating their pitches to 432Hz and several others, so even their mp3 files are targeted for change. I hope to see this improvement. Thank you for the info on speed change, because ...

Re: Pitch Change
I need to first find what the actual Concert A is (which is usually 440Hz), then change it to 432Hz. You can find the frequency of a tone by using "Plot Spectrum" (Analyze menu). Find an "A", select it, and use Plot Spectrum. The fundamental tone will ...

Re: Distortion after adjusting pitch from 440Hz to 432Hz
It seems you are right though. I think I've compared the wrong song first, not compared with the original. Thank's for helping out.

Re: Distortion after adjusting pitch from 440Hz to 432Hz
... speed wav (-1.818181), but the tuning is still the same. When listening to the third file that I have pitch shifted earlier, this sounds like 432Hz. Seems like this pitch shift function is the only function? Is there any other possibilty of changing pitch to 432Hz without deterioration? Another ...

Re: Distortion after adjusting pitch from 440Hz to 432Hz
'Adjusting pitch' function I assume that you mean the "Change Pitch" effect? I'll also assume that you're using Audacity 1.3.13. If not I'd recommend that you update: http://audacityteam.org/download/ There's a few things that can cause the sound quality to deteriorate, so I'll give a ste...

I have adjusted my classical music CD's from 440 to 432Hz via the 'Adjusting pitch' function in Audacity. But when I burn a CD, the sound is distorted. I have tried many things and I have found out that it appears after adjusting the pitch to 432Hz ...
