Re: Patch to export 32 bits in chains
Why are you not willing to upgrade beyond 2.0.6? Allowing Chains to use "Other Uncompressed files" or the 32-bit WAV option that we now have is a popular request, but it won't be applied retrospectively to old versions of Audacity. Would you like us to add ...

... size. Some applications won't play WAV files above 2 GB or play them incorrectly. AIFF has the same restriction. Audacity's choice of Other uncompressed files > RF64 header is the lossless PCM format for over 4 GB. I don't think iTunes handle RF64 or FLAC, which would be about half the size ...

... best to work entirely in 32-bit float format (Single-precision floating-point format). You can export as 32-bit float WAV by selecting "Other uncompressed files" as the file type when exporting, then setting the options to "WAV" and "32-bit float". You can then leave ...

... that is not the problem, then perhaps you exported with AIFF extension due to an Audacity bug. This might happen if you chose WAV in "Other Uncompressed Files". If that is the issue, make sure Windows is set to show file extensions , then you can rename the file from AIFF to WAV in ...
