... other? If they're one above the other, MP3, as I understand it, doesn't support multiple stereo track export. But WAV does. File > Export > Other Uncompressed Files > Options. I did this once and I don't remember how I did it. Koz

... You need to set the Project Rate to 8000 (8 kHz) before exporting (bottom left corner of the main window) Then Export with the "Other uncompressed files" option and select A-Law (see here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/help/manual/man/file_export_dialog.html )
