If you recorded the music PCM, that should have worked perfectly depending on the format. but you can get far less music on the disc. You might be able to find converter so...

Re: Non-responding sound controls during recording!

I'm running a line into the Mac's input, and the problem is not in getting the signal, it's that no matter where I turn the volume down, on my computer's master settings, or using Audacity's controls, unless I turn the volume of my cassette deck, or mixer, or receiver (i've tried all three) way, wa...

Re: Non-responding sound controls during recording!

I tried recording some music from an external cassette deck into my Mac. Well, no matter how low I set the input levels in the Mac preferences, or in Audacity, even all the way to zero, the input is so high it's almost all distorted. This is driving me crazy, & holding up all my recording. How do I...

CD Burning Difficulties

I am a new Audacity user. I hope to use the program for getting my vinyl records into my computer, onto CDs, and into my i-pod. My system consists of a turntable and phono preamp, an Apogee Electronics Mini Me AD converter, and an i-mac (10.4.10) In my first big test, I recorded an entire album (96K...
