Re: Hz Conversion

Steve, Does it matter what the original was tuned to as long as the objective is to create the new one tuned to 432Hz? There are plug-ins that can announce the initial tuning. However, that's only a statistical value expressed as a probability. There are also some auto-tune plug-ins available that ...

Re: Can you make all pitches uniform?

It might be possible with auto-tune (a commercial product). I'm sure the side-effects would get pretty horrible however.

Re: Sounds of 2014 (experimental)!

On further reflectance I think the "squeaks" I'm hearing may be the result of using "auto tune" or something similar on the vocal part.

we'll see if k-kwel replies...

Re: AutoTune Evo Vst 6 not showing up in effects

I have OS X 10.9.4. I downloaded audacity 2.0.5 dmg installer version. i've corrected my latency issues and exporting mp3 files has been no problem. The only issue is that my vst plugin "Autotune Evo Vst 6" is not showing up in effects. I checked "rescan vst effects next time audacity is restarted"...

... to the whole recorded track - Look for gaps in the track, and use them as cues to cut into smaller songs - Tag them with ID3. I don't see that "auto record" is really necessary - it's only a matter of pressing the record button. The hard part is physically connecting the player to the computer, ...

Re: MP3/WAV Project burned to CD sound awful

Yeah... Other than adjusting the levels and EQ (frequency balance) you are pretty much stuck with what you've got. The CD doesn't sound any worse than the video, does it? Pitch correction is normally done to solo vocals before mixing. If you have a mix (as you do) you can't change the pitch of one v...

Re: Pitch change effect and scale of fifths

But this does only work for monophonic sounds with a stationary pitch, doesn't it?
You should instead use something like auto-tune, where you can adjust the cent slider for each note.

Re: possible to make this plugin? ("auto draw wave")

Is there a way in audacity to speed-shift multiple tracks at once to a same frequency? If you want the code to detect the frequency and then calculate the amount of speed-shift to tune it to a specified frequency, that is difficult. The difficult part is to accurately detect the frequency, unless y...

Re: Any better pitch correction tool for Audacity?

For automatic pitch correction (like AutoTune) you will probably need to spend money.
Note that neither Auto-Tune nor Melodyne officially support Audacity, so you might also have to spend money on a host application.
