Thanks for letting us know, Paul.

Does the Audio Units Auto Tune 7 work (after a fashion) in Audacity, or does Audacity ignore it?

Re: Audacity has quit unexpectedly.

Gale, I have an iMac 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 so I believe it's 64 bit but I'm not sure. I bought it in January of 2011. The crashes on quit happen if I have audio in the program or if there is none. Re: Audacity has quit unexpectedly.

Thanks Bill. I found the auto tune plug ins. if I remove them, I'm assuming I won't be able to use them with Audacity. Does that also mean i won't be able to use them with Digital Performer, which i also use? I haven't experienced a crash in DP. Should i upgrade autotune? Is the file itself corrupte...

Audio Unit effects are stored in: <your home>/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components Find the auto tune component and move it somewhe...

Re: When I auto tune my voice it auto tunes my instrumental?

I also added the instrumental to the song I was singing so I could mash them together.
Can you press "mute" on the music track (to the left) and play your voice track only?

Re: When I auto tune my voice it auto tunes my instrumental?

As a test, try using some different effect - something with a really strong and noticeable impact, for example the "Fade-In" effect. Are you able to apply that to one track only and not the other?

Re: When I auto tune my voice it auto tunes my instrumental?

Topic moved to the Audacity 1.3.x forum. when I autotune my voice it also autotunes the instrumental track and that makes it sound really bad. I'm trying to just autotune my VOICE and not the INSTRUMENTAL Double click on the vocal track - that will select the vocal track and it will be highlighted. ...
