Gale, I have an iMac 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 so I believe it's 64 bit but I'm not sure. I bought it in January of 2011. The crashes on quit happen if I have audio in the program or if there is none. Thanks Bill. I found the auto tune plug ins. if I remove them, I'm assuming I won't be able to use them with Audacity. Does that also mean i won't be able to use them with Digital Performer, which i also use? I haven't experienced a crash in DP. Should i upgrade autotune? Is the file itself corrupte...

Thanks. The crash is not in Audacity per se, but in an auto-tune Audio Unit Effect. Removing that effect will probably remove the crash. Can you press "mute" on the music track (to the left) and play your voice track only?

As a test, try using some different effect - something with a really strong and noticeable impact, for example the "Fade-In" effect. Are you able to apply that to one track only and not the other?

I did that but it's still autotuned..

Audacity 1.2 does not support Autotune. And I autotune it with autotune evo est and then I add my instrumental. So you are using Autotune before you add the instrumental and you don't use Autotune after you have added the instrumental? If that is the case then I don't see how Autotune can possibly a...
