So when I add it, my voice and my instrumental gets autotuned so when I play the whole thing it sounds messed up. How do I just autotune my VOICE and keep the instrumental playing but not have it b...

Re: is recording in stereo passe?
If I can't get rid of the buzz, I'll just have him record it over using a different amp. before I do that, what would recommend for removing the buzz? It'll be difficult to remove successfully. "Mains hum" that causes the buzz is usually quoted as 50 or 60 Hz (Europe / US), but the buzz has many ha...

Audacity 1.3.13 crashes on startup, after scanning VSTs
Hi, it seems I cannot start Audacity - it crashes right after scanning my VSTs (which all seem to scan fine - then it just hangs and eventually crashes). I am unable to even get into the preferences to disable the scanning of the VSTs since the program will not start. Any ideas on how I can fix this...

Re: Are there directions somewhere for the Easy Vocoder effe
Hi Gale and Steve, Gale , I don't know who or what "T-Pain" is, I'm not a fan of some of that new-fangled music. The vocoder music sample that I used in my posted MP3 is from an "E.L.O." song that was released in 1978 called "Mr. Blue Sky"... Jeff Lynne and his band E.L.O. (Electric Light Orchestra)...

Re: Are there directions somewhere for the Easy Vocoder effe
Thank you Gale and Steve, One thing I'll have to try in an effort to get a greater vocoder effect from the Easy Vocoder plugin is to do some other manipulations to the voice before applying that plugin... that may help a little. Thanks for the references to the other pages on this topic and others.....

So i'm trying to get the G-Snap Auto Tune to mess around with it... I have the file downloaded and all. But when I click on "Rescan for VST Effects", it won't save that preference, so it won't do that...

Using plugin without changing music
I have the gsnap plug in which is pretty much an auto tune feature. Works great, but when I drop an instrumental into audacity and record vocals over it, the music is also in auto tune. I just want the vocals that I record over the music to have that effect. Any advice on making this work?

Audacity can pick up radio channels?
... how else I can help in the way of more information. And actually, some of what you have said honestly just brings me back to questions. What is "auto squench"? If my version of Audacity has it, why is it no longer working? Is there a way within Audacity to "tune in" my device to some other frequency? ...
