Re: fine tune latency correction effect

I think something long these lines is needed since linux has the problem of variable latency between sessions.
Maybe and auto-latency test that the user can run to get the latency and set it befoe starting to record?

I think Ardour has something like this.

Re: Voice tuning on recordings

I haven't tried any of these but here are some free pitch correction plug-ins that I know of:

Graillon
GSnap
KeroVee

Pros use Auto Tune or Melodyne but they are not free.

Re: Adding GSnap / Autotalent plug-in

If all you need from Autotalent an GSnap is auto tuning you can try x42 Auto Tune
https://x42-plugins.com/x42/x42-autotune

It loads into Audacity. Doesn't have the nice GUI, but the options are quite easy to understand and use:

Re: Related to Recording Vocals: I am quickly learning that there is no substitute for good vocals. I have tried adding.

What's wrong? Is it your singing or the recording quality (or both)? There's not much you can do if you don't like the timbre of your voice (although EQ can help a little) or if you have limited range, and I don't know how far you can go with pitch correction if your pitch is totally off. It just s...

Re: Everyone laughs at me when I say I record with Audacity

I mention it to guys with actual recording experience they just laugh, like they tell me the compressor is trash or the quality is crap and to even do this basic level recording I should still use a VST like Reaper. First, your choice of recording application doesn't affect recording quality (assum...

EFFECT FAILED TO INITIALIZE

I just updated to the latest version of Audacity and before the latest one, my Auto-Tune 7 VST plug-in was working just fine. Now, everytime I try to use it, a pop-up appears in the screen saying, "Effect Failed To Initialize Attempting to initialize the following effect failed: Auto-Tune 7 VST More...

Re: Voice Enhancer

Does anyone know of anything else that would help with a not so perfect pitch voice ? On Linux, the two options that I know of are: "Auto Talent", and the other is singing lessons ;) I sympathize greatly - I can sing a note which is perfectly in tune as I sing it, but the sound that comes ...

Re: Does Audacity has autotune?

There are some free alternatives available that sound quite similar.

Just search for "free auto tune plugins" or something like this on google.

Voice Enhancer

I downloaded and installed into Audacity something called Auto Talent. It seems to be an alternative to Auto Tune. Auto Talent is for Linux.
Does anyone know of anything else that would help with a not so perfect pitch voice ?
Thanks for your Time and Effort.
