Well if the delay does not bother you, check that "Software Playthrough" is enabled in the Transport menu.

... hear yourself late. Ok yes spot on. with "Listen" checked I can now hear myself through the headset while recording. There's a slight delay, I might play around with the latency settings. Think I saw instructions for that somewhere. I don't think there is any way to adjust the "Listen" ...

I am using Audacity 2.06 You will get latency with software playthrough whether Audacity performs the playthrough or whether you make Windows perform it by setting "Listen to this device" (on Windows Vista or later). It makes no difference what Audacity version you are using, but I sugges...
