Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea

Would Steve or Gale be willing to commit an experimental (may be in a separate branch) Might this not be better in your own fork of Audacity, Ed? Then we can see the changes and it's easy to merge it into Audacity master. As it is now, we have to diff your files to look at the changes. "Advanced Wa...

Re: Can't minimize record level

I just can't figure out why it worked fine one day and not the next. Probably because the non-Microsoft audio drivers you were using are not the correct drivers for your hardware, or because devices that come with Beats Audio are known to be unusable. Simply put, if the computer description mention...

You may have given us a hint. The early "Beats Audio" soundcards and devices were not gifts from the angels. They seem to be doing much better now and ...

Re: Can't minimize record level

I actually have a desktop PC with "line-in" jack.
Using IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
I do not have a tab for Extended Services.
I tried enabling Beats Audio, but when I try to move the input level slider left from 20, it pops back to 20.
Don't know if any of this helps.

Re: Youtube's algorithm for content ID music removal?

Yeah I remember doing the split to mono inversion technique, but I don't think that's the whole story here. Here's another example where I used music where there's singing involved, and again they were able to just remove the music while keeping foreground audio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W6H...

Re: Binaural beats plugin error messages

OK, so here's " Binaural Tones with Surf 3 ". Functionally it does the same as David's Binaural Beats 2, but the controls have been changed, several bug fixes, and it should be a bit quicker too. I've updated the instructions in the file, which are reproduced below. This plug-in has been tested in A...

Re: 2.1.1 won't start, win 7

Thanks Koz. I installed an uninstaller program (IOBit Uninstaller) to help identify and eliminate plug-ins. I did get rid of a couple, I also uninstalled a bunch of other stuff I never use (games), and uninstalled IDT Audio (Beats). I also tried uninstalling 2.1.1, then tried 2.0.6 (bc I read somewh...

Re: Extracting Binaural Beats from audio

how did you know exactly that the "tones" where at 296hz and 304hz? I knew the exact frequencies because I made it as a demonstration ;) It's not possible to see "exactly" what the frequencies are, but by using a large "window size" and zooming in very close on the vertical scale you can see to wit...
