Bit New to this but cananyone helpme?
For Instance if i was to cut a bit of an audio out and then put another bit in not from that audio it sounds really weird to start with because it is different beats etc. Is there anyway to disguise that kinda such as something like it fades out of one song then onto another or something? Any other ...

Re: Remove glitch
How did you get the rhythm to line up since it doesn't in the original piece? The reason that the rhythm did not line up in the original was because a glitch had been edited out making the bar length too short. There's a couple of things that could have been done to make the rhythm match. The best ...

Re: Making a remix from an acapella track?
If you are creating your own beats without actually recording real drums & instruments, that really calls for MIDI , which Audacity does not support. I don't know if there's anything useful and free... REAPER ($60 USD for home & small business use) is a full DAW (digital audio workstation) that supp...

Re: beat
Beat_Sample_1.wav Beat_Sample_2.wav I think that we will need to see / hear what you have. I presume that the "beats" are quite obvious by listening? Open the file in Audacity and select about 3 to 4 seconds that contain some of these "beats". From the File menu, choose "Export ...

Re: Compressor: shorter attack/release times?
I don't recall if you said what kind of music you are working on, but with dance music, a really short Attack and a Release time just a little shorter than the time between beats can get the sound pumpin' in a good way. Dance music usually has a very limited dynamic range, so when dealing with it I...

Use of time scaling to "reconduct" a piece of music?
I'm interested in developing a feature in Audacity to help me accomplish a certain goal, but am unsure which approach would be best. I have a series of input audio files. The goal is to develop the software to speed up or slow down certain parts of the audio file to very specific guidelines, i.e. to...

Re: Cross-Fade (revisited)
Of the 4 seconds selected in the second song, one second is removed from the start of the song, and the fade is applied to the remaining first three seconds - this is a deal-breaker: you certainly don't want anything removed from the start of the second song. I don't see that to be a deal breaker. ...

Re: Onset detection algorithm (Beat tracking)
The most simple form of beat detection is to just look for the peaks. With some music this will work, but it is likely to have a lot of false detections. Accuracy can be improved by band limiting the frequency range that is being analysed. For example, to detect kick drum beats you could filter the ...
Re: 32 count
If a song has a 4/4 rhythm (4 beats to the bar) and has a phrase length of 8 bars, then there will be 32 beats (counts) in a phrase. This is not something that you can adjust by audio processing, it's how the song has been written. A lot of dance music has 32 beat phrases.

Re: Add continues click track to the song
Click Track does not generate a click track for the length of audio you select. You have to tell it the number of beats per measure (BPM) then either the number of measures (to determine the length) OR the duration (in minutes and seconds in whole numbers).
