Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange
I could, but it is "exactly" a repeat of the first four beats... I don't have the original (sample) anymore, but could reproduce it by cutting the first 8 beats from the song again? I could also prepare an example with a pure sine (with and without Sliding time/scale applied). A sine tone would hav...

Re: HELP. New to Audacity
Binaural Beats: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats The first example in that article: 300 Hz was played in one ear and 310 in the other. So you have a stereo track with a 300 Hz tone in one channel and 310 Hz in the other. Make the amplitude of each tone "0.5". To create this in Audacity, U...

Re: HELP. New to Audacity
But the wave is showing as exactly the same on the right and left.. Surely they should be different because the tones are different. If you zoom-in (in time), you should see a difference. But, I'm not sure if that will help you or not... It's very hard to analyze sounds by looking at the (time doma...

Audacity won't output in true stereo?
I'm running Audacity 1.3 n an HP Mini 210 with Beats Audio(yes, a netbook). I pan the audio in the program, but it seems to be stereo, but with emphasis on either the left and right, instead of true panning. I made an effect a few weeks back where the problem persisted in program, and not in the fin...

Re: Need a programmer
I need to hire a programmer to design a very simple user interface with Audacity open source software. I would like a simple mixer interface that combined 20 predetermined "beat tracks" of 5 min each in a loop with an mp3 spoken track. The interface would have a beats per min slide bar for the "bea...

Re: Binaural Tones with Surf 2
There's a couple of things where feedback from users would be useful: 1) Work flow: Which option fits best with a "typical" work flow? Option a) All of the initial settings followed by all of the final settings. Option b) Alternate initial and final settings. Option a) Duration Initial Tone Frequen...

Re: Staying in rhythm when creating loops, editing
Allright, I was rounding off my House music collection today, adding a new 1979 tune by Shalamar called "Right in the Socket" (that will add to my Disco House collection well). Anyways, I decided to see if I could make a loop of some of the audio, hopefully this can help others. As I mentioned befor...

Re: Binaural Tones with Surf 2
I looked at that (id 2501), v5 and v6. I think v5 is just too complex. I like the flexibility of id 2501 but I showed it to one "customer" and he could not get the hang of "average" and why there was always one more beat frequency box than than the number of sections. He liked (and I would suggest)...

Re: Staying in rhythm when creating loops, editing
Nice tune VAM, Ya know, when I was real young (late 1970s), I really thought Earth, Wind, and Fire were satanic. That probably sounds weird, but I think it was just "in the air" or something. Like, everyone kept saying that The Eagles were satanic, and every time I saw that Eagles cover with the sti...
