Re: Losing Audio Tag information upon exporting
I appreciate your reply; however, your explanation does not explain how to retain the beats-per-minutes and band information from disappearing in Windows Explorer. I have explained in detail what happens with the Beats Per Minute field. The best answer as things are now is not to use Windows Explor...

Re: Losing Audio Tag information upon exporting
I appreciate your reply; however, your explanation does not explain how to retain the beats-per-minutes and band information from disappearing in Windows Explorer. I do a weekly update to Windows 7, as I'm sure most people do. If you are referring to upgrading from a previous version, the answer is ...

Re: Losing Audio Tag information upon exporting
... user-defined fields but any sensible media player or tags analyzer will do so (such as Foobar 2000 or Media Info). Having said all that, if the "Beats-per-minute" column in Explorer is intended to be the TBPM frame it does not display TBPM data for me on Windows 7 x64. The "Defaults" button ...

Losing Audio Tag information upon exporting
I have recently upgraded to version 2.0 from 1.2.6. I'm using Windows 7 OS. I have on many occasions recorded several songs from the internet using Roxio Creator via "Capture Audio from Sound Card" and saving them to .mp3 file format; then use Audacity to edit the beginning silence from each of the ...

Re: "Change Pitch" also changes tempo?
"10 seconds" was written in the original bug report. Maybe this is because Audacity effects can remember changed values in subsequent invocations and the length had been changed to 10 seconds some invocations before. Click Track is a Nyquist plug-in so it reverts to the default setting each time Au...

Re: Distorted Wav file after repair
But it may be tricky for me as the total recording is about 1 hour long... I'm not volunteering ;) and I said "it's not going to be a quick job". I tried the Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift effect before, but it seems very hard for me to adjust exactly the length I want. Ctrl+D will duplicate the se...

Re: Date time formatting possible? (For label plugin)
To me it looks as if the "Regular Interval Labels" plugin included in the Audacity distribution is a much later and better version of the "Regular Interval Labels" plugin from the Audacity homepage, what seems to be an original David Sky plugin. Yes the one on the Audacity site Nyquist plug-ins is ...

Re: Montage/collage in several tracks
Like that? That's a bunch of Tracks > New Track and cutting and pasting different audio clips and segments.
The top, long track is "rain" (noise SHSHSHSHSHSH) and the others are various drum beats, tones, etc.

Re: Feedback During Recording.... Session today. HELP PLEASE
If you like to record internet audio, you might be set to record from Mix-Out, Wav-Out or What-U-Hear instead of the USB device. That's a mistake and can cause a feedback loop. Reset in the Device Toolbar. You can also get that if you have Audacity Preferences set to Playthrough and the microphone ...

Re: CANNOT CLICK CURSOR BETWEEN SECOND MARKS
... sense for it to be named "Grid"? Is Snap To useful with any other time divisions? I'm still hopeful that one day we'll have an option to snap to "beats". Who knows what might be useful? NTSC, PAL and film frames might be useful for someone who is cutting audio to fit video. And once we have beats ...
