Re: Syncing Variable Speed Audio
The absence of replies suggests "no". Can you find other copies of the music track that don't change tempo? If the music has heavy beats you may be able to use Quantization in some audio editing applications. Audacity doesn't have that feature. Gale Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, there is no ...

Re: Editing a song with video and Movie Maker
I wanted to keep the opening and closing of the song/music intact but remove as much as the middle of the song so the audio fits the video but without the awkward editing where it sounds like you've just cut off lyrics and then patched it back together. The trick is to line-up the beats and then cr...

Re: Modulation/distortion on my mic
My Beats Solo headphones are plugged into the interface itself. The mic gets great sound when used with Skype or any other program. The modulation/distortion is there when I export the file as well. Let me try and break this down a little more. I have been recording fine with the mic, when suddenly ...

Re: USB Remote recording gadget?
Right, I haven't come across the term punch-in before - I understand the concept now that I've read up on it, and I can appreciate that it could be a pain in the neck - any instability on your system at all, and you could lose the recording. Right, so that brings on the second question. I looked int...

Re: Playback with pulseaudio on Ubuntu
I'm pretty sick of this Audacity problem at the moment, though I suspect it might be down to Pulseaudio. In the 10-15 years I've been using Ubuntu/Xubuntu, I can't say I've seen Pulseaudio working reliably on any machines I've used, and It beats me why a fundamental part of an OS doesn't work 'out ...

Fast Track ULtra no levels
I'm working on Windows 7 Audacity ver 2.0.5. My usb interface is a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. Up until now I've been using inputs 1/2 to record beats. These inputs work fine with audacity even with an xlr to 1/4 jack. I just got an xlrm-xlrf mic and I can see that the interface is responding to it an...
