Re: How to fix partial sample rate speed-up?

I don't know if this will help at all but this sometimes happens to me if i paste a piece of audio from one project into another project as part a new track for mixing purposes. In order to get the new track where i want it to start i choose the position i want in the main track, press record so i g...

problems recording audio (live stream)

This is a strange one! I can listen to the live stream ok, and the sound quality is perfect. So, i let the whole stream (1 track) play through once so its buffered ok. Audacity records the track and the sound quality is spot on, but there are massive chunks of music missing. There arent any silent g...

Re: my recordings have gone a little strange!

there has been a further development...... i managed to get rid of mostly all the nasty feedback by using the tape moniter input on my amp instead of the phono one, sound is now a lot clearer and all the muffled distortion has gone. I am confident that my left/right channels will be fine once my new...

Re: my recordings have gone a little strange!

i think its because someone has made this lead themself, and got the phasing and polarity wrong, hence the reason my left and right channels are all messed up. I am hoping that once i sort a lead out, it will all be ok again! I checked out the link you gave, would this one i found be the same, as it...

Re: my recordings have gone a little strange!

Thanks for all your help guys, i think that the next step is to get a new lead with twin rca's on one end, and a small jack that fits into my soundcard on the other end just to see what happens. That is essentially what the lead i have is, although i have found the major fault with it, hence why lef...

Re: my recordings have gone a little strange!

yep, turns out the rca to mini jack lead that came with the pc is in fact a homemade attempt, and one channel was phased wrong. my vocals have now returned! I have re-wired it to the best of my ability but although left and right are now where they should be, the overall sound quality is worse than ...

my recordings have gone a little strange!

Hi everyone, as you can see, im new here! I have been having various niggling problems, most of which i have been able to solve on my own but this one is beyond my comprehension! A good mate of mine has a band and he very kindly gave me a copy of their album on CD. I wanted to rip the music onto my ...
